I have a '96 2.2 cavalier.
When I start it up it makes a bubbly gurgling sound for about 1/2 sec but then stops.
I seems like the sound comes from under the big vent on the dash, but I'm not sure.
It sounds like what I'd imagine air trapped in the coolant system would sound like.
Is there a way to purge air from the coolant system?
Or is this some other problem I'm having.
Well it could be air in youre cooling system or youre heater core could have blockage in sections of the heater core. How long has it been since youre cooling system been flushed, And coolant has been replaced.
It could also be low on coolant. My 94 2.2 did that when its low. It has a mild head gasket leak , so this is my indication to add more coolant / water right away !!
