Here's the deal.

My wifes boss has a 99 sunfire that had the recall done because they were catching on fire. Now her car stalls for no aparent reason.

I have no idea what the recall was done for. My only thought would be that if they messed with the fuel system then her fuel filter may be clogged up from any junk that may have been knocked loose during the recall.

They had a recall on teh igintion systems in the cavlaliers. That might be what they did, but I'm not sure if the recall applied to the sunfires as well.

Just keep bringing the car back untill it's fixed. It was fine when I brought it in, it should be fine when I leave with it.

stall in the middle of driving?

i had the same problem with my 99 cavalier after the recall was done. does the car act weird? mine had an electrical problem when i got it back, the lights and gauges would act up or not work at all and the car would stall all the time. turns out that the tech for got to ground one of the wires for the relay. hope this helps.
