So my engines been running well but today when i was going home the car started hesitating really bad and the valve(s) started tapping really bad. Ive been having some problems with the head that i got off ebay ( dont get one from there ) so i dont know if that has something to do with it but i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions... thanks

First thing to do is check the oil level.

did you use adjustable rockers?

If the new head was fitted with valve guide inserts, there

are many ways this might not have been done properly...

Insert not set to proper depth, broken when installing...

You'll have to pull the head, of course, to find out...

you know i thought that i had some major valve tappage the other day, turned out the spark plug was just a little loose and wasn't letting it hold the compression> just figured i'd let you know

Did you ever figure out the valve noise?
