I just don't see a point in spending an unnecessary 20 dollars. And before you say I don't take care of my cars I have one with 140k and a civic with over 200k. I'd just check everything over and top off your fluids. I don't think spending a lot of money is necessary if you have taken care of it up until now.

Owner's manual recomendation for 36K service and brake fluid flush should do fine. Dump a can of Sea-Foam in the gas tank, to. You ain't anywhere near when most general parts fail, engine-wise.

congrats prolly not uncommon to see an import with 200k miles on the other had i have 2 Z24's one with 123k and another with 177k both of which have had anything wrong besides waterpump which is normal on these engines.

I'm in the same situation it'll 5 years from June 2001 (build date) that my car has been on the road so i'm changing the coolant due to the fact that it only lasts 5 years/ 250000km.

To me powersteering and brake fluid don't really need to be changed because the system is sealed and there is no contamination.

The transmission fluid (auto) doesn't require changing if the car is not driven in heavy conditions, hills, dusty conditions. It says it in the manual if the GM engineers said it then might as well follow it. Ive had GM's in the past and haven't changed the tranny fluid and ive had no problems. GM tranny's are the best.
