When in use my wipers function fine. When I turn them off instead of nesting back down towards the hood where they belong they go all the way upright. Is there an easy solution to this problem? Any advice is apprecaited.

Cause that only happens when someone tries the one wiper mod.
nope never modified them or anything. My mom borrowed my car for the week and said they did it when she went to turn them off one day. Since then every time they get shut off they do it.
The same thing happened to me last year....your gears in your wipers are stipped and they need to be replaced. It happens when you try using your wipers to remove heavy snow from your windshield or what not, anyway i would contact a dealer or a shop on how much it would cost to replace.
its the transmisson piece for the wipers that need to be replaced
