I just took possession of an '88 Cimarron which has power seats, which work perfectly, but it seems that something is broken up under the left rear corner of the driver's seat because it leans back in that direction. Is it probable that a weld has come loose? How difficult is it to completely remove the driver's seat, complete with hardware, from the floor of the car, and has anyone had a similar problem before?

check that your not missing a bolt in the front right, or from the back left.

Removal is simple, especially if you have a 13mm socket, or even better(IMO) a 13mm ratcheting wrench.

I may tackle that this Saturday if these partly cloudy skies hold up. I've got quite an assortment of screws and bolts at home (from other cars I've owned), so I should have one that will fit if that's the problem.
