Hey guys/gals.

Have a quick question. I found a leak on my 99 z24. It is located on the drivers side upper middle. It has the upper rad hose, heater core hose and temp sensor attached to it, it is then attached to the actual engine block. It looks like the gasket is gone because I can see coolant leaking out from the sides of this unit. Is this the location of the thermostat? Or what the heck is it?
Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

take the plastic piece off that is bolted to the engine. inspect it for cracks as it can get old and brittle. If it has no problems replace the o-ring and bolt it back up. should solve it for ya.. its a water outlet i believe the o-ring is like a buck and is very easy to replace.
