The other day i was driving normal down the highway, 55-60 mph, and my CEL came on. I had autozone check it out and its a slow responding O2 sensor. When i installed my headers a month ago i had to extend the 1st O2 sensor about a foot to reach the new socket. The wire i used was a different size and material, would that affect it or is it just a bad connection? The wierd thing is that it worked fine for a month, and i dont feel any performance differencese. So how do i clear the code so i can see if it comes up again and i can rule it out as just a random event?

Unplug your battery for a couple hours, or have autozone do it.

I unplugged it once already, i guess it wasnt long enough. Am i probably correct in assuming the cause of the light? At the least should that be the first thing i check if the light comes on again?

Yeah, you probably added resistance to the wire, so it is getting a slow response.
