hi all, i have a 96 cavalier. 2dr, 2.2L auto. it's got a pretty fierce squeal right now. i think it's a pulley, not the belt. i will stick my head in there and see if i can hear exactly which one is doing it. but in the mean time - is there one pulley on these cars that's prone to squeaking often?? just want to know if there's some place i should start....

Start with checking your idler pulley, if not then your alternator. If you have a/c it could even be that.
