ok so heres my problem, my heat works on all settings so its not the resistor. but it dos not get hot, just warm and that not good when it -10. any thought on what would cause this?
its still under warranty but every time i take it in they say "well we couldn't reproduce the problem" or it might just be you" so id love to take it in and say "this is the problem fix it"
its a 2005 Z24 with 30,000 kms on it.

It's the outside air (-10) not being able to pick up enough heat to your liking.
Put the switch to recirculate and see if that helps.
have you checked the thermostat? blend door? Good luck.
i'm thinking thermostat. When stopped it probably generates plenty of heat, but as soon as you start moving and the coolant circulates....good luck.
Ask for the service manager, and see if he's willing to drive around in the car with you for a bit so you can show him the problem.
I had this issue with my Bonneville, below freezing outside and I had a 400mile trip..... not fun.

lol i dont think you want to be looking for your blend door its a PITA job..gotta rip the dash apart and everything. to test your blend door...take your temp knob in your car put it all the way to hot and then wait and then put it on cold and if it has a nice change then i wouldnt worrry about your blend door. i'd personally do a thorough coolant flush maybe you have a small clog in the system and its not fully making it to your heater core. i wouldnt want to be tearing apart the dash to get to the plenum. also you'd be surprised how easy it is for small animals like mice to get up into your hvac system tubes and build a nest there and they possibly (prolly unlikely) that they clogged (somewhat) the airway around your blend door. i'd say do a thorough coolant flush flush and dont worry about air pockets in the system bc we have self bleeding systems..and thats self explanitory. good luck with the problem.
