Hey guys im new to the JBO and i got a question. what is wrong with my car? when i take a left hand turn theres a very obvious creeking sound coming from the right. Ive tried inspecting it on my own and i cant find anything. its driving me nuts!!! could this be my strut mount??? please give me some answers and/or sugestions. Thank you!!!! oh yes one detail its a 2003 cavalier LS. (non sport package)
Strut mounts usually make a clunk or clicking sound. This sounds like its probably a CV joint on the way out. It could also be a wheel bearing...but these usually groan when you turn in the same direction of the one thats gone.
Warranty??
Best thing to do is have it put on a ramp and get a mechanic...or someone else who knows stuff about front ends...and get them to check everything out. Its pretty easy to check this stuff. Shouldn't take more than an hour.

check these things... lack of lubrication at balljoints and tie-rod ends, damaged strut mounting, worn control arm bushings or tie-rod ends, loose stabilizer bar, loose wheel nuts, and loose suspension bolts.... check for any of that. good luck man..
thanks for the replies! Also i noticee that theres a central front end kreek sound when i go over speed bumps. ive got a day off in two days so ill try tightening and lubing what i can. if that doesnt work ill have to pull out the old credit card i guess? once again thanks for the help! OH yeah. GO CHEVROLET!!!WOOOOOO!!
