Cavalier GT?
Saturday, November 22, 2008 4:47 PM
I tried to search for this answer but got a ton of pages and worthless info that didnt directly answer my question, i went out looking for cars today (winter beater) and i came across a rather stock looking red 99 cavalier, it didnt have any ground effects or side skirts or anything but it did have a little spolier on it that looked factory, so basically my question is this, is there such a thing as a cavalier GT?

no. there was an LS model, which had a spoiler, and there was the Z24 which did as well, and came factory with skirts and different bumper covers, but A LOT of people took the skirts off. but cav gt? no, not from the factory.

I think the only "GT" J-body was the Sunfire, correct?

I dont think chevy ever did GT... maybe the Berettas? Im not sure.

Berrettas came in GT..

The only 2 J-bodies I can think of that came in GT are Sunfires, and Sunbirds...

The Sunbird GT's are pretty rare though.

thats what i thought and the body looked all stock so it must've just been an LS model thanks for clearing that up

Barettas aren't J's so it doesn't matter regardless

the website dumbass....

www.JBODY.org

If if you look right at the top of the page it says.... "General discussion - questions, comments or anything else that is not covered by any other forum, that is specifically related to J-body automobiles or the J-Body Organization."

This isn't the other cars forum and the question was about a cavalier... So again, a Beretta isn't a J so it really doesn't matter.

correct me if im wrong, but i thought a z22 was made but only in canada

Re: Cavalier GT?

there is no Z22. Its just stickers and crap that they put on a base modle

what your thinking of is the 03+ was available in canada only as a Z24, Z24 was discontinued in America when they stopped the 2.4

ya i know it's just a way to jack up prices but i have never seen them go as far as stitching it into the seats and door panels.i wish z24 would have done this and sunfire gt

Wow, someone got a little butt hurt.

I was making a point that Chevy doesnt do "GT" so ANY Chevy someone sees with a GT badge (other than the Beretta) is false.

So then someone doesnt ask themselves later if there is a Lumina GT or what not...

Sad. And look at you with a Honda on a jbody forum. Look at me with a Nbody on a Jbody forum.

Although I dont think it matters what you own or what is talked about. Although I wasnt even talking "about" the Beretta. I mentioned it.

"Boohoo, he said Beretta, thats not a Jbody boohoo, Im a call him names boohoo" lol.
