Buying my first Cavalier z24

There is private seller in my area that is selling 1999 cavalier z24 with 136k miles 2.4 twin cam automatic for 1,900 firm Its also inspected until 04/08 Might need some newer tires in a few months. I went and and looked at the car and drove it and i was impressed. The Outside has no rust or dents or anything and the interior is really clean the motor looks good.

Are there any things to look out for when buying these cars ? He said he has never replaced the Timing chain or Head gasket or Transmission. I was told from people that these are the three common problems that happen around 136k miles is this True ? I no very little about Cavaliers. Am i getting a deal for 1,900 ? any help would be Appreciated Thanks.

I think if you look around you could do better, you might even find something here in the Classifieds. Watch out for timing chain and water pump as mentioned above.
