I wouldn't call anything of mine pretty, but I just clean the parts and spray with Duplicolor High Heat

Otherwise, if you want real bling, then get the parts powder coated.

I found a place through my machine shop that i work at that will give me a good price on chroming it.

Any cons to chrome?

I have always been told that chrome conducts alot more heat but sure is pretty, lol

I have so far gotten quotes of:

$195: ceramic coating blue.
and $225: for chroming it pimp.

I'm kind of against chroming now that i have read into it. Yes it does conduct more heat, but not substantially to impede LOTS of HP's. BUt the thing that I read, chrome if done improperly starts to bubble and crack when applied to aluminum. I would need to get the entire thing resurfaced first, then get it chromed. And that would take more money.

I'm going to get it ceramic coated because it is more resistant to heat, and the corrosive properties are more leaning towards dependability with aluminum.

I'm still going to be looking around, though.

chrome on Alu needs at least copper plating first, sometimes will be nickel plated too, if you are grinding off the brackets crhome will highlight any parts that aren't perfectly round, like sometimes you can still tell where the bracket was ground off, you'll notice it more in chroms although would look great if it was perfect.
Ceramic coating or powder coat I wold prefer over chrome.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I never through of the accentuation.
I'm wondering if they did the service of shaving it, how nice it would look?
