Praising Obama: Indoctrination 101?
Thursday, September 24, 2009 5:43 PM on j-body.org
Saw this today and it made my skin crawl. This kind of stuff needs to be stopped.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zrsl8o4ZPo

Here's the lerics....

Song 1:
Mm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that all must lend a hand
To make this country strong again
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said we must be fair today
Equal work means equal pay
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said that we must take a stand
To make sure everyone gets a chance
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

He said red, yellow, black or white
All are equal in his sight
Mmm, mmm, mm!
Barack Hussein Obama

Yes!
Mmm, mmm, mm
Barack Hussein Obama

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick
So here's a hearty hip-hooray ----

Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!
Hip, hip hooray!

Whats your opinion?

this @!#$ makes me sick. There's also another video floating around that was produced by the Tides Foundation that is being shown in schools about how bad capitalism is, and that it's the govts job to take care of you.

these people need to die in a fire, SRSLY

I know the vid that you talking about. I watched about four minutes of it before I got so disgusted. There is no way that I could sit there and view the whole twenty plus minutes.

It's not unprecedented, really...and they lyrics are really kind of benign. No real "leftie agenda" there.

Now if they sang something like:

Hello, Mr. President we honor you today!
For kicking capitalist ass, we all doth say "hooray!"

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one!
The first black American to screw this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans
To make this country's economy a Socialist friend!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you!
And we stand for your health plan that makes our parents blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President , ACORN will turn a trick
So here's a hearty hip-HOP-hooray ----
Hip, Hop, hooray!
Hip, Hop, hooray!
Hip, Hop, hooray!

This sh!t needs to be exposed everywhere. This kind of stuff serves to reinforce my decision to put my kids through private school.

For anyone who doesn't know, the Tides Foundation is another one of the socialist-driven institutions in the resume of Van Jones, along with some of the other common founders/leaders of the run of "green" (read "red") organizations that act like benign non-profit entities.

Mr. Hahn, I do not agree with these underlined lyrics.

Song 2:
Hello, Mr. President we honor you today! < < < Sorry, but what has he done to deserve honor? Being the Pres still doesn't cut it in my book.
For all your great accomplishments, we all doth say "hooray!" < < < What accomplishments?

Hooray, Mr. President! You're number one! < < < Just don't like this.
The first black American to lead this great nation!

Hooray, Mr. President we honor your great plans < < < Plans to turn America Socialist?
To make this country's economy number one again!

Hooray Mr. President, we're really proud of you! < < < Proud of what?
And we stand for all Americans under the great Red, White, and Blue!

So continue ---- Mr. President we know you'll do the trick < < < I'm sure he will try his best....the trick part I mean.

I hear ya, Paul. It's your right to not agree with the potential political undertones, but please remember...you are providing them via the bias of your interpretation...the lyrics do not automatically infer them. In any case, to a child, this song remains benign...they don't know beans about the issues you raise. Talk to any of them about the points you make and watch their blank expressions.

This is no more indoctrination than any patriotic song that mentions the most respected man in our nation, the President. I won't guess at how old you may be, or how many presidents you've seen come and go...but in school, as in my home life, my upbringing always placed the President on a pedestal. Whoever was President at the time got the glory. Over time, it's been about even with Dems and Repubs. Obama won...he is President. Adulation of The President at this time is adulation of Obama. No matter how that makes one feel along political lines, it's not biased and it's quite normal.

And yes, even if you don't agree with what he's done, you are still expected as a citizen to honor him. In today's increasingly aggressive society, such respect is sadly slipping away, too easily disguised as "objection".

I maintain that the song will not create Little Liberals, and will instead instill respect in The Presidency. That's never been a bad thing.

Mr. Hahn,

I don't agree with any "praising" of any president. I can't listen or watch what you posted at work, so I'll check it out later. Either way it, IMO, is wrong to praise just because of the "status" of presidency. If any politician does things that, again IMO, that I do not agree with is the best for the country, does not get praise or respect from me. Socialist ideals do not set well with me and I will not agree with his policies. Too many "red flags" about Obama.

By the way, I'm 37.

I'm 55 and a lifelong Democrat. I've always respected the office, even under Nixon. I, however, have absolutely no respect for Obama. Quite frankly he scares the shit out of me. The real tragedy is that this country was ready for change and had grown to the point that both Blacks and Women were viable candidates for the Presidency. I think Obama and his agenda has ruined this outlook and it will be a long time before we see another person of color in the White House.

As for the video, that's the kind of crap I'd expect to see from Cuba, one of the 3rd world Muslim states, or a dictatorship not here in the USA!

people dont respect anyone now adays regardless of who they are or what they have done. if a person has a diffrent view then you do then obviouslly they are the devil and out to get you. when 9 times out of 10 they are just a decent person who has diffrent ideas then you. i dont think obama is this evil guy out to get me. i think his views are just allot diffrent then mine and i dont agree with how he is going about trying to fix things.

1. Government run/owned/taking over buisnesses. Government telling US what we need.
2. Tax money to build low income housing, hostiptals, given to police agencies, boarder patrol. Money to our military so they can have the best of the best of what they need to protect this country.
3. "Corporate welfare", as in bailouts? This is America.....sink or swim. < < Sorry to be so blunt.

One thing that really gets me going is the redestribute the wealth idea. We are given the oportunity to make it or not. Someone that wasn't willing to do what it takes to earn their income should not be getting a piece of what others have. They made the sacrifices and took the chances to earn that nice living for them and their families.

Excellent and TY for the response.
1. Where is this taking over businesses happening? Is it GM/Chrysler or banks? It wasn't that DC decided to "take over" with no if, buts, or say. Is it fair to say if these failed managed companies did not walk up to DC, would they be under the eye of DC today?

2. Sorry to inform you, but where you want money to be is spent, is the true aspect of "socialism" and are socialist ideas. Anytime you have government out there "helping" and "protecting" our lives are all traits of socialism. If you don't like "socialism" your next option is for you to do it on your own with no backing of government.

3. Bail outs were indeed one, another is money grants, tax breaks, subsidies would be others. That's what this country has been doing for quite sometime. Agreed on "sink or swim" idea though. Seems to me you are against every president's actions whether Rep or Dem for the past 50+ years. And Corporate Welfare could not be more apparent then in the 80s.

And that's just the thing, the US has been "redistributing the wealth" for ages and suddenly now it is a problem? Point blank, Obama is no more socialist then Bush Sr-Jr, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, Johnson, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, etc.
The question here lies, do you want your tax money to go to the rich or poor. Or should I ask; where does it bother you more, that tax money goes to the rich, or to the poor?

I'm sorry, but you can't paint an ultimatum here dude. It ain't "socialim or anarchy...take yer pick"

a civilized society will have government, which means therebare salries to pay. I don't know how to fight fires, so they need to be paid too, and I sure don't know how to manage a prison or run a hospital.

You will not be able to make the argument that taxes in principle = socialism.

^Don't confuse "government" with a way of how to govern a state or republic. Fire fighters, prison guards are all aspects of government services and that are paid by who again? Just because you may agree to have/fund firefighters and not fund schools or health system for example doesn't make your ground of: "label a politician as 'socialist' as a form of an insult" stronger. All you're doing is siding which socialist program tax money should go for.

LOL...talk about a tempest in a teapot. We have serious issues afoot, and our press is more interested in sensational BS like this school video.

People, get a grip! Just because it pushes your buttons doesn't mean it actually has any measurable effect on seven year-olds. Don't y'all have better things to do?

Yes, we do have more serious issues, but ifj you let all of these small issues go unoticed then they make it through the cracks due to people believing it's "no big deal". Sometimes those small things turn into big things.

If things push your buttons (in politics) you should raise an eyebrow to it. And yes, small children are easily impressionable. They usually will do what an adult says and believe them.

I wouldn't mind housing being built for low income families to help get back on their feet, but just giving money to someone that doesn't want to work is another thing.

As for police and fire dept......they do get donations from the community to help them out. Granted, it may not be as much as the government, but there is support from the community.

Someone said that we should respect the president and support him. I can't respect a president that does not respect our nations flag. If you want to know what I'm talking about I'll try to find a video of Obama and you can see what I'm talking about.
