Do the sunfire GT's before 2000 have more than 1 turn signal on each side in the front, or do they only have that rectangle indicator on the sides? googed a bunch and thats the only one i can see. heres a
picture showing the bumper im talking about.

GT's had round signal lenses and maybe rectangular ones /reflectors on the sides............. i think
There were 2 different style front bumpers for 1995-1999 Sunfires...
1995-1999 Sunfire GT front bumper
The 1995-1999 GT front bumper has round marker lights on each lower corner. On the sides are rectangular marker lights. Both of these lights flash when the turn signal or hazards are used.
1995-1999 Sunfire SE front bumper
The 1995-1999 SE front bumper has rectangular marker lights that wrap around the sides of the front bumper. There are no front side marker lights on this style front bumper.

No. contrary to popular belief, no Sunfire GT prior to 2000 was equiped with factory fog lights.... the lights you are refering to are turn signal and marker lights. they blink in conjunction with the rectangular side markers. This styling tradition carried into 2000-02. extra holes were added to include fog lights additionally as shown here:

That's the info i was looking for. Thank you for a clear answer. The lenses for the round turn signal lights are clear, which made me think they were fog lights.

nope 95-99 the had amber bulbs and clear lenses thats the only thing the z24 had in 95-99 that the sunfire didnt have

Yeah, alot of people think the turn signals on the 1995-1999 Sunfire GTs are fog lights, but as others have already said, they are not. They are turn signals/marker lights.
1995-1999 Sunfire GTs had clear marker light housings with amber bulbs
2000-2002 Sunfires (both GT and SE [Coupe and Sedan]) had amber marker light housings with clear bulbs
