i ordered some option racing diablo power mirrors from andys auto sport, and they dont seem to fit my car. they came with adapter plates, and i have called andys and sent them pictures, and they insist they are the right plates for my car. but screw brackets and everything dont even match up. and the plate is a little different shape than the stock mirror mount. anyone know of a place that would have the right adapter plates? or is there something im doing wrong?
Is it possible that they think you have a coupe and you have a sedan or vice versa? verts are different too.
yeah, sounds like you got the wrong body style mirror plates.
I have the same "problem" with my mirrors. The plates are right, the problem is the bolt pattern that fixes too the car is the same on many many GM models. The plates are more inclined to fit a car with a higher A pillar. As they fit perfect on my S10. Suggestion, if your know someone good with fiberglass, is to fix the new mirrors too the factory base plates, which is what im leaning towards myself. Or second trace out the factory base on a 3/16 piece of aluminium, bevel out the edges and what not and mount the mirrors to that? Get them powdered to whatever colour you like or even polish them. Or buy a piece of carbon fiber and face it with that?
