My stock fog lights were better than silverstar ultras. HID's FTW.

Get some cheap HIDS from DDMtuning.com. They recently got their own Raptor brand made in house for under $50 shipped, 1 year warranty.

Save your money on bulbs, upgrade to HID's.

FOR SALE
These are 2500K Nokya bulbs I have for the low beams and high beams.
It's hard to really see the yellow in the pictures but they're not a white light at all.
I wanted the yellow 2500k's to stand out of the crowd that usually go with the 10,000K bulbs or bluer color as everyone seems to be doing this and I'm not one to follow the norm.
You could also tint your lens to give you that 2000K light source if you wanted. They would then look something like this.
Here's what the 2500K bulbs looked like going through the yellow tint.
And for all the HID advocates, not for me.
Too bright, too blinding, and to spend on projector or modify for projector beams is too much work for me.

If I need more light, I turn on the high beams.

Thank you Dave and JBO!

yeah HID arent really worth it unless its a show car....too much trouble you can get in and way annoying to other drivers....just like those LED taillights.
good luck!

Silverstars work great for me.. People that say different may need that lens restore kit, idk Plus Silverstars can be had for $20 shipped on ebay
misnblu - you'd feel a lot differently once you got 'em

As I had the same opinion as you until I got 'em. You can get 2000-2500k "yellow" hid's (friend of mine has em). And you don't always have to get projectors its just safer/easier for others around you depending on the brightness.
But to each their own HIDs arent for everyone ...
Matt - I've had silverstars I've had silverstar ultras BOTH sucked. And my lens' are clear as ever. Hell my stock fog light bulbs were brighter than them! Thats how sad that was. So either its just my car or I dunno man lol

all i know is my ultras are way brighter than stock headlights.
Blindz, we'll see down the road.
As the prices seem to be coming down, they may be a bit more affordable for that type of mod for the car.

Thank you Dave and JBO!

I had the Silverstar Ultras in the last 3 cars i had, my 03 Focus, my 05 Scion tC and now my 04 Cavalier and like blucavvy said, They all where way brighter than stock. My brother has them in his srt-4 and he says the same thing. I did have the Luminics Hyper White and they sucked at night. My buddy had the Titanium White in his Jetta and they are nice and bright with a real nice bluish HID color.
