anybody else tinted their's with any success? if ya have let's see some pics!
i'll b posting mine up later on tonight,as soon as the gf gets home with the camera.
i used a "vinyl" type product, probly not the best thing to do it with but it is'nt permanent like vht which is y i used it. i love the way they look.
car's dirty, i know, so no comments needed.

there ya go
c+c always welcome.
i think i like it. but what about night driving?
i was just out in it pickin up beer, it does'nt really seem to effect it a whole lot, but i was in a pretty well lighted area so we'll see what it's like driving down a little country road with next to no other lighting.
yeah, let me kno. looks good
Looks good, I hope you checked your state laws. These are illegal in Louisiana, they allow you to have the velcro style overlays but must be removed at night.
Also remember it's not always how good you can see, it's how good others can see you.

FOR SALE
well i checked em out bfore i drove and they certainly looked bright enough, and yes it's illegal in illinois as well, that's y i went with the "vinyl" and did'nt do anything permanent.
look great
any worrys about them melting to the headlights and becoming permanent?
not sure if your running hid's or not
blucavvy that looks good was the stuff u used like window tint or what were did u get it
i like this pic
no it was thicker than window tint, it was almost like a vinyl decal or graphic or something, ebay. ten bucks.

yeah i don't mind yella fogs, but good call on not doing this to ur headlights, cuz u have the most gorgeous headlights in the whole wide world!(i really am talking bout ur headlights!

)
I may end up doing the regular tint onto mine. now that I know how it looks, I like it!

lol thx man. Even if I had stock headlights I wouldnt tint em yellow, just wouldn't suit the car. But the best thing about vinyl tint is its removable and cheaper than bulbs! lol
ok, so today was the first time it rained hard since i installed this "vinyl" type product, and it's clearly peeling off the headlight. in this seller's ad it states it will hold up to elements and high speeds. i've contacted him and am awaiting a response. i guess i just wanted to warn people from investing in this type of product, i'll b searching for a hard shell cover in the near future as opposed to this.
oh well, live and learn.
i cant remember the brand for @!#$, or even what site i ordered from for that matter.
anywho, i have the same product, except mine are just lightly smoked. i absolutely love them. it is a nice thick protective vinyl, and it has a great color to it. however i dished out roughly fifty bucks for my set. they've treated me perfectly for the better part of a year now. i had a local tint shop to apply them. no complaints here. if i can ever remember the frickin brand, i'll def post it back up here.

well i'm wondering if maybe tomorrow if it's decent out if they'll re-apply just fine, they're supposedly "pressure activated", not adhesive type. but what i don't wanna have to do is "re-apply" them every time there's rain or snow. i would'nt mind dishing out the 50 bucks for a set that'd stay on. i guess i cheaped out and this is what i get lol.
ordered a pair in the past its just the thicker insta cling tint, i did my tails and lower turn signals in my 97 z24

There are good brand and there are bad. I know of at least 1-2 reputable sources up where Im from that have had no problems including the weather and standing up to high speeds with no problems. The question is is it cut just the shape of your lights or is there enough to tuck back somewhere etc ?
I know that Laminex is what most people use to do this.
Never done it myself.

My buddy with a 04 Jetta got it from this company....wicked stuff. He hasn't had any problems from what I know.

They sell a high quality product that lasts for years, they are what I use for lens protection, and lens tinting. They also have a "care" package for them that will make them last even longer.
thanx for the input guys.
