wiring up sunfire lights using harness; issues.

Well I took the light harness out of the 96' Sunfire and put it into the 98' Z24;
Headlights work(high/low), marker lights(bumper lights?), horn and fog lights work fine,
but the corner(194 bulbs) won't work and the cluster is flashing as if a bulb is burned out.

In the cavalier I thought only the larger marker bulbs would trigger the cluster to read a burned out bulb?

It wouldn't be a big deal, but the previous owner has the ignition wired up to the blinker switch, and with it being 'burned out' the engine wont start.

I looked for where he spiced into the blinker, but I can't find any extra wires so I'm stumped.

any ideas?

Or does anyone have a picture of the harness going to the turn signal harness in the steering column?

It's only if the big bulbs are burnt out it'll flash fast because of the resistance. Do turn signals and running lights work?

I'm not really sure which socket/bulb is the running lights, but as if were on the cavalier the bumper lights flash as turn signals, but the corner lights will not do a thing.

Well I went today and looked at the ignition, and I'm stumped on how it was wired up.
I see no spliced or cut wires, but you can unplug the ignition harness and as long as the left blinker is on the car starts.

any ideas?

Betting money on either the starter or one of the ignition wires is tied into the positive of the blinker wire/in the switch somewhere.

I looked everywhere I don't get it, the previous owner said it came factory like this.

You can unplug the ignition at the key tumbler, the theft light will come on but when you turn on the left turn signal, the car still starts.

That's definitely not factory at all. Try following the two ignition sets (there's the two red, brown, pink, yellow and white) and let me know where they go. Also follow the turn signal switch.

It's almost impossible because the ignition and starter are both on the same harness, unless he did some mad splicing yo.

Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
