i'm lookin into gettin the Vis CF Ram Air Hood non fuctional is the only one i can get from my work and it's a really good deal so what i'm wondering if there is any way to make them functional ? or even make the back open like a cowl induction hood
pics of the hood? you can most likely cut out the scoop opening to make it functional.
I didn't know VIS made a ram air hood
you have pics?
its in one the performance books at my work they only have pics for a cavalier but list it for a sunfire but i'll try to find a picture
checked today is actually a JSP CF ram air hood anyone made one of those functional ?
cut out the front where the opening should be. thats about as functional as youre going to make it w/o messing with ductwork underneath the hood
i'll trade ya a rk sport fully functional ram air for the cf non fuctional ????

that wont make it functional though. the only way to make it functional is to have all the duct work in there to route the air to the air box. other than that, you'll just have a hole in your hood.

yeah thats what i was saying. cutting open the scoop will allow some cold air to get into the engine bay, but doesnt do too much for actual performance.
i was leaning more towards letting some of the hot air out my sunfire just like alot of them run a little hot and i figured with open hood it might help it a some and look alot better.
My buddy bought a cowl induction hood for his camaro and it made a huge difference in his normal operating temperature.
