Just let down your backseat or remove it completely

i intended to do this when we overhauled the car, but decided against it. it would not be tough at all. few simple braces would be all you needed.

just remember, if you ever plan to sell the car, half your potential buyers just walked out

i would say more like 98%

All I remember Chazz doing was cutting the rear deck out of the car. I wouldn't consider that a hatch.

i agree, but I have to assume thats what the OP is referring to.

If you have the know-how to complete a true hatch conversion(lifting rear hatch) he wouldnt be asking on a forum....let alone this forum

i thought about this years ago, got the idea from eclipses. im sure it's possible, but it would probably take a few grand in body work, even doing a lot of the work yourself.

as for the choped cav, yeah... we know about it. it's been discussed to death here.

so you dont wanna cut up your car, but you wanna chop the top in half?

i think these are pipe dreams

I would not say a TC is badass, but the hatch design I will say, would look pretty sexy.

but also agree with what the others are saying

...cost a few grand? i wouldve expected about two, maybe. i just need to ask around my home town, talk to some buddies, ask a few favors. i really wanna try this thing out. guess i better start savin up. god knows how long thatll take

Re: Hatch Conversion

it would not be cheap, If a shop were doing it, I would imagine arround 10 grand at least, if you can get qualified friends to help with free work, then it could cost 2 grand.

this not be cheap!!!!

(considering to have a Quarter panel replaced it would cost arround 3-4 grand at a shop(after paint)

good luck it you try it, it would be cool to see, not very practical I don't think, but still cool.

I think it would be funny to see a 4 door turned into a wagon, or better yet, a 2 door turned into something like the civics, it would be like a smaller, newer nomad.

Re: Hatch Conversion

will do. im still not for sure on it. if it does go down, it'll definitely be a later mod. i'll have to save for this for quite a while. if/ when it happens i'll be sure to post it up here, especially since it's not for sure that it's ever been done. i'd LOVE to perform a j-body first!

thanks for the support. if you wanna make a donation.....
