Removing wax from window seals

I have tried numerous times to remove the wax from my window seals because it looks so tacky. Yes I know I should have taped them off, but I was removing the water stains on the windows with an abrasive wax. I heard to use peanut oil/peanut butter, i used it twice and it seemed to cover it up for about 2 weeks and thats it. What are something I can use to remove it from my rear window seals? Back to Black possibly?

why were you using an abrasive wax to remove water stains on your window????? should have used a window cleaning product... would have been a lot easier .... if I remember correctly the only way to get them back to black is to buy new oenes...

Is it like a white 'chalky' look on your black weather stripping? If so, try some Meguiar's Quick Detailer, or (probably the more sure-fire bet) some Meguiar's #40 Vinyl and Rubber conditioner. Both have helped me out on separate occasions.

#39 works better if you can find it, but hopefully the new product will be quick, easy, and effortless.

It was meguairs #4 or #7 i used on the windows, it worked awesome. I thinkkkk it was Ron Love that told me to use it, guy with the old yellow sunbird i think. He knows his exterior work. Anyway i will try the quick detailer, i have it setting around . I'll try #40 if I happen to find it. Thanks
