(stole the pics form Qwik2k2z24's last p&m post) ok,
is the hood on the black Z24 carbon fiber? I'm not stupid, but the hood does and doesn't look like carbon at the same time... I wanna know b/c if this what a cf hood will look like on my black Cavy, I'm not going to bother getting one....I'm trying to be absolutely serious

The weave/color doesn't always show in pictures. It just depends on the lighting, angle, and camera.
Example:
My hood looks brownish in this picture...
but in these pictures you can see the weave...
Dont judge pics for colors. The camera used will change it slightly, and even your computer monitor will change how it looks.

Exactly. Guess it depends on if you're more worried about how your car looks in pictures. All I care is how mine looks in person.
it also depends on the hood. some are darker than others.
my turbo sport seems 2 not be so dark compared to other hoods?

My Evo has a love of SILVER (the light strands whatever the really are)in it....so it looks lighter
heres mine in the sun to give you a better idea of how it looks on a black car.. from some angles you cant tell its carbon fiber but for the most part you can tell its different...

well I want it to look good in person, and on camera too. that pic just looked wierd, but I guess you guys are right, its probably just the angle + lighting. if I can find a deal, I'll most likely get a cf hood anyway

in that picture its mainly the lighting. looks like it was a cloudy day, but it should sparkle in the sun rather nicely

Yea, my monitor at work makes all CF look black.
New sig on the way.
It really just depends on the lighting...
You can't really tell at all with this lighting...
here are some of mine in diff, lights
and mine is black
Like everyone said, it all depends on the lighting. All the pics I've taken of my Car with the Invader hood so far, you can easily tell its C/F. But when I had the RKSport Blister Hood, it was hit or miss on if the pics made it look C/F or just Black.

Thanks guys! obviously lighting plays a big factor, but I really love this hood ^^ either way!! Black or cf! (rksport SS right?)

^^^thats not RK. the RK SS hood's scoop lines came almost all of the way to the front of the hood. the hood above is most likely JSP, CFTEC or a derivative. also, i dont think RK ever offered their hood in full c/f.
thanks! Gravana had a full cf RKsport SS hood, looked a lot like the one above, so I just assumed...
and I'm going to go carbon fiber regardless now. I've always wanted to, and I saw a gorgeous black RSX tyesterday with an OEM cf hood, and oh my god was it it awesome!! the sparkle, shine!! cargasm. lol
no the descision becomes OEM or the one above?! lol descisions decisons....

RKSport used to offer (3) version of their SS hoods. Fiberglass, C/F Blister, Full C/F. For awhile they were down to just Fiberglass but now they have brought back the C/F Blister. This is all from visiting their website from time to time.

for some reason i was thinking the RK full c/f hood was a relabeled fiber images hood.
but after looking up snazzi's c/f hood, i stand corrected.
lol no big deal, I found the hood on Summitracing.com for $599, which isn't terrible, but I'm going to wait a little bit, wanna lower mine first...

i'll sell you my CF hood if you want for 100 bucks and your black hood, it's the fiberimage one all it needs is a clearcoat, i'm just going to pait over it
