Anyone know what type of tire shine (like exactly what to buy) that wont fling off and spread itself down the side of my car while driving?
My other car is all freshly cleaned and shiney as hell, I'm taking it for a photoshoot in a bit. need help ASAP
I've been very happy with the Armorall Extreme Tire Shine Gel
It's in an orange container, i rarely have any that comes off unless I've put too much on.
Hope this helps
Lanman31337 -F = fatties = do not want. A little chunk in the junk is ok though.
Meguiars Gold class endurance High Gloss works well for me. I'm sure their new NXT brand tire shine works well too.
I've been using Eagle One for a while now, nice shine and literally lasts for weeks. The main thing is to not leave excess on the tire, with any brand.
My cuzin uses that No Touch on his silver T/A and doesnt spread itself down the car.
Apply shine on location.....that way u wont get road grime stuck in in....but all the brands mentioned will give you a nice look. If you let them properly dry they shouldnt fling...unless over applied.

I go over my tires with paper towel to make sure the tire shine is evenly coated and to wipe off excess. I usually let it sit for a while before i drive it as well.
let it actually dry, like it says, before driving. no matter what u use, its gonna fling like poop. if u don't let it sit on there.

Yes, as mentioned above, let it dry if you can.
DON'T use the Aerosol Meguire's NXT EXTREME Tire shine, way too sticky
& don't come off real easy when you want to clean them either.
Turns tires brown also. I do not recomend it.
I had some of it & gave it away.
Have had good luck with gels mostly.

anyone like the Turtle Wax Wet n' black? I have pretty good luck with that. I let it sit a half an hour or more before I drive it and doesn't fling on the car, and it lasts pretty long.

I've been using that as well. Gels always seem to work the best for me!
I only use aerosol on the engine bay rubber.

The no touch foaming ones work the best. Walmart has it for like 2 bucks
turtle wax wet and dry. one coat with an applicator, wait 15 min. 2nd coat. let dry, lasts for about a month or so and don't hold dirt.
meguiers hot tire liek said let it dry and wipe off any left over.

The gold class endurance works the best for me. As long as its not caked on there it wont fling and the shine should stay for awhile
Excellent product. Been using it for a few years now. Always shines....good for close to 2 weeks after one application.

At the dealership you guys should have some purple @!#$ in a spray bottle, its a lot like the Meguiar's High Endurance except in a spray bottle.
I don't know the name of it, one of my buddies used to hook me up with half bottles and stuff back in the day. I'm thinking it could have been high endurance since I never got an original bottle, it was always poured into something else like a windex bottle. Anyways... point being this stuff was killer. He got it for me because he said gravel dust didn't stick to it, and it was true. I don't live on gravel anymore but when I did that was the only tire shine I would use.
Nowadays I prefer just to scrub my tires down with Westley's Bleach White while I'm washing the car. It essentially just makes the tires look brand new, I prefer them that way I guess.
Dry time is key to any tire shine...

Yes, but with the Gold Class, I've had it splatter with ample dry time, and pretty much every time I used it. With the ArmorAll I've driven 5 minutes after and had no splatter....

All you have to do is barely spray the tire shine onto your tires and do it in a sweeping motion (kinda like painting a car but dont go back over it) just spray in even strokes with out over doing it and dont spray to far away your'll get it on your sides and your bumpers. spray it about maybe 8 to 10 inches away go back over your rim with a rag if any got on your rim and let your car sit for about maybe 20 mins to let it soak into the tire. I've been detailing for years. basically all tire shines work it just depends on how you use it and which one your more comfortable with.
Both I mentioned were "Gels" and last A LOT longer than sprays, and don't get all over your rims when applied with a tire swipe, unlike sprays....
