When painting do you sand, primer, sand then paint or sand, primer, sand then re-primer, then paint?
Depends on what you're painting.
Say a fender for example or some type of body panel on a 95 Cav
wow, you really shoud not paint
Mike you have to remember that painting a 95 cavy is completely different than painting a 96 or newer.
Im just being a smartass, im not that dumb.

Im not painting it, just taking it to a shop, I just want to know for my own knowledge I want to see what their doing and if their doing it right, I already primered and sanded, but I want to know if I prime again or just leave it like that.
it depends on what's been done to the panel. there's different kinds of primer. if there are repairs with bondo, it needs epoxy primer and possibly sandable primer. if its just bein painted to match, it may not even need primer unless its a drastic change. there's lots of variables there.
