The code will be in the trunk. If you lift up the carpeted floor piece where your jack is you'll see it.

What's the code you found in the label? If the RPO number is 81U then it is bright red. There is another four digit code I think is related to the paint, it is 8774 (in mine) but the RPO 81U if it is your case should be enough. Hope this helps.

bring the paint code to a auto paint store. they can decipher the code and tell you the name

mine was also 8774 GM Bright Red.

8774 is actually wa8774, when the paint is looked up in mixing software that is how it is referenced as. That 8774 was used from 1985-2004 as a body color, the name stays the same through out the years according to my mixing software, Costs me about $118 a quart. That is Diamont .
It is also listed as 81 or 81U (U meaning upper body) U and L were used years ago when there were 2 tone jobs, not so much now but gm still appears to use the U as the main body reference.

I can look it up but the color names are just trivial. There is actually no meaning to them. Sometimes the name will indicate a different color but most of the time its the same mix. The code is what makes the difference. That white may not only be the same code in 00 -02 and 03-05 but also may come up as a audi or nissan color also. And every mfg will have a different name for it which may change from year to year. Same color though. Just for fun Ill look them up for you and see what the difference is.
