I am thinking about getting my door handles shaved and i was wondering if i would need eight pound solenoids or forty pound solenoids for it. I was also wondering if it the best next step for body work on my car. Just looking for some advice and suggestions.

Go with a 40lb kit. the kits include poppers to be placed in the door jamb, but often times the solenoid is powerful enough.

its not the solenoid that does it,
it depends on the strength of your latches. if you want it to look clean with out the dildo poppers they send you with the kit, order some bear claw latches. im not sure if they make them to bolt onto our cars but they can push the door out about an inch when they pop open thats just my $.02

thanks travis..

on my mazda, the strengh of the solenoid alone was enough to open my doors about an inch, on stock latches.
