Toyota never made Cavaliers, did they?!?!
/teh newb act
little known fact...........all three of the big three (ford, chevy, dodge) sell the same cars we buy here to foreign auto makers to market and sell overseas as something else...
I see those tails all the time where I live. I'm kinda fuzzy on how GM and Toyota are connected. (I know about the Toyota Cavalier's), I just don't understand if there sold with Toyota emblems, or if GM and Toyota are partnered and they just call them that. (They do that stuff in Australia alot) ie - Pontiac GTO = Holden Monaro over there.
if i remember correctly, GM built them for Toyota and shipped them over for JDM use

got a PM from Muffin......and he says the following
Muffin wrote:Correct... Check the VIN. You'll see they were made in Lordstown... or at least Steve/The Hated One/Blue's "famous" TRD cav starts out 1G1J....
Toyota Cavaliers are American Cavaliers with a couple exceptions. They had a trunk lid carpet liner, they were RHD (so the console and dash varied), they had a flare on what would be our driver kick panel, the front fenders flare out a little more and have what we call "Euro marker" lights, the plastic under the hood is written in Japanese, the mirrors fold in when the ignition is off, different taillights, and Toyota emblems instead of bowties. And if I am not mistaken, they all had the 2.4 liter motor our Cavys have. However, even though I know those are Toyota Cavy lights, I thought all JDM vehicles still had to have amber somewhere on the taillights.

dont forget leather wrapped steering wheel, leather wrapped shift knob, gas door with no tab bent out to pull it out with a finger/has a cable inside the car to pull and release it, and the rear seat had an arm rest in the center piece that folds down.
