Is 3057 and 3157 the same? If they are, thoughts on LED 3157's??

No they are not the same. I do not remember what is different, but they are not the same. Will they work yes, but they are not the same.

Single vs. dual filament... Maybe can not remember.

I had 3157 LED in my tails, and my flashers went 1000 miles an hour. You need to add a resistor to the bulbs/wires to correct this.

3057, 3157, 3357 and 3457 are the same.

The reason of the "blinker on crack" syndrome is due to the lower draw of the LED's not because a 3157 is used in place of a 3357 or vice versa.

and, a safer route to the resistors, is the grote flasher. linky
