hate to say this but if you have to ask then take it to a shop. it also depends on how much you wanna put into it, fully molded?? little extras?? it also depends on the kit and whether or not you can can go without your car for a while. I'm in the process of doing mine over winter and it takes a lot. here are some photos
did a little cutting on the kit, i like it better this way
fully molded
truly fully molded
custom inner fender, it also wraps around the bottom closing it all in
shot of the mirror delete panel
APR cf mirrors
HKS cf Ti Power muffler, 3" with a 4.75" tip, goin on after i finish up the body work
custom gauge pod for my AFR wideband
like i said it depends on alot of things, most kits will take some tweaking just to get them to fit, some have to have the holes drilled and so on, so with out more info, no one can really tell you.
hope all goes well......... any more questions just ask

Its the dift kit and you can find it anywhere, but if you are looking for cheap look on ebay, but if you get one from there I wouldnt recommend installing it yourself because 9/10 times the kit wont fit right and sanding and cutting has to be done to it.
I went from an import to being part of the J-Body nation.
If it's fiberglass, take it to a shop definately. Fiberglass kits can require a good bit of work to fit right... and you'll actually end up saving in the long run because if you do something wrong while installing it, you could cause extra headache for the shop.
If you get a urethane kit. they're pretty much bolt-on and much easier to install yourself.
This actually a good post. Ive always wondered about installing a kit, but I never knew what to do so thats why I havent bought one yet. Does anyone have any step by step directions?

loved the hood scoop and turbo setup. lol. looks like it took a lot of work. but seriously the kit looks like ot is going nicely
get a cavalier haynes or chilton's manual. you're probably going to need help with a lot of other stuff too.
i can do a full write up with pics if some one will sticky it, but please note that this will be for fully molding, with all the extras, and a bit custom work too, basically a few more steps than whats absolutely needed i will take pics of anything inparticular if its desired like the process to ecnlose the side skirts, also note that some of the custon work has already been done and i can not get pictures but i will do the best i can. on that note any pics you all would like to see in it??? i will need at least 5 request before ill put in the time to write it up.

btw the kit is fiber glass, and i got it from gofastperformance.com for $479+ S&H, i know the list was $699.95 on their site but they price matched gravanatuning.com + 10% so i got it at a really good price. so if u want a great deal, give gofast a call and dont forget to mention gravana's price

Yes, A body kit and ram air hood are the next things I want 2 buy for my car
I'm sure hoods r not as hard
to install as a body kit
installing a kit is a few simple bolts. you can do a write up on it but everyone that does install a kit will have different results. not all kits are the same and not all kits will fit the same. some will require cutting of the crush guard where as others may not. some may need to cut the kit and glass in some spots, some will fit perfect. its hard to do a write up on something that varies. only thing that will be helpful is to tell people where the bolts are that will remove the bumpers.
I pray you used panel adhesive and not just bondo to hold the panels on.

ps- who cares if its stickied. at least someone can search and find it.
I think it would be helpful as I am going to attempt to mold my kit and will need to hack the side skirts to get them to fit. That will require a bit more than just nuts and bolts. I have searched quite a bit on it, and here and there I see tips but no pictures. Mostly I see people saying don't do it. I really don't have an option if I ever want to get the body kit on and learn how to do these things. I can take it to a body shop, but what fun is that. I get bragging rights to how much I paid someone to do something to my car, "oh boy". As I said I am going to at least attempt to try to learn these things regardless of how many people say I can't do it without a professional. I have been told that plenty of times in the past and I have eventually accomplished things I was told I couldn't. It would be nice to have some sort of guidance so I wouldn't have to go at it blindly. I don't know anybody on here personally, but I am sure there are a lot of people who have nice modded cars that have done it themselves without going to school. They learnt how to do it somehow. I don't care if I don't have the nicest car, I know I never will. I'm modding a cavalier that I paid $1000 for and now has 130 k miles, having a fun time doing it and learning how to do it. I don't care if my paint job is not perfect on a car won't get more than 3 k for if it was perfect. I have a book to tell me where nuts and bolts are, I come on here to learn things like this. Just because something wont be helpful to you does not mean it won't be helpful to anyone else. Sorry if I'm not as knowledgeable as most people on here, and I annoy people by asking questions, but as I said I come on here to learn. In my opinion if people are asking questions they are looking for advice on how to do it, not to be told not do it. If someone is that worried about messing up their car that bad, they shouldn't be asking questions about complicated things like painting or molding body kits or whatever. Hopefully people have the common sense to know that it is not easy, and they should take it to a professional.
