This might be really stupid and dumb but it would be kinda cool. What if i cut out a hole on each side of the engine bay for engine heat to ecsape from the bay through my Z3 fender vents? i mean it would be one more thing to add to my "mod" lists and would also make everything on the outside of my car functional.

If anything you "MIGHT" be able to rig them up as brake vents.

well... on my car (98z) when u take out the very back inner fender plastic... there are these like glued in plates that are on the ends of the cowl section (where the wiper motor sits). if you could somehow cut those off... you could have more air scooping into your cowl... however i have no idea whatsoever how that would help anything.

how about if you cut a small hole the size of your intake and put the filter inbetween the frame and vent. or run the filter/piping through the hole where the stock airbox went (by the washer fluid) and up by the vent. as long as you keep the splash guards on you shouldnt have a problem with dirt or water getting flipped up into it. thats probably as functional youre gonna make z3s
