Is there realy a direct bolt on lambo door kit....i know some guys that got them an they had to doalot of mods to make it fit....is there any that bolt directly on...and what is the best brads to buy...cuz you see such wide prices in the lambo door makrect...anwhere from 200 all the way to 2000+.
Anyone wanna feild this one?
modifiedmotorsports makes a bolt on kit for cavaliers.. possibly the most bought kit for the cavaliers cuz its the cheapest.. but there are quite a few who have problems with struts blowing and stuff..
some other bigger company kits.. also more expensive is
Vertical Doors Inc
LSD Doors
and there is a few otehr companies too
all of them being Bolt on..
MMS FTW!!! I have them on my cav... almost 2 years and still going strong... no matter the season... Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall...
WWW.MMS.COM <--------- That's a clicky BTW!
question..how bad is it getting in and out of these? They don't look like it would be too easy to..is it mainly for show..or do you guys actually use the lambo opening as our main means of entry/exit? I'd LOVE the 90's ...but they seem to triple the price..which is bogus!
Thanks

MMS ftw. They're not hard getting in and out of since you DON'T HAVE to open them upward but even with them up they're still easy to get in and out of (just watch your head). I got mine 2 years ago and only had one strut break (not blow) on me but Joe sent me a replacement within a few weeks and now things are still going good. They were direct bolt on as stated before and weren't too hard to install.

what if my kit is molded how easy is the bolt on then for the MMS...
I'm guessing it'd be about as hard as any other kit except for the direct bolt up. There have been a few people who have done this with molded skirts but you'd have to get ahold of them to see how they did it.

The MMS kits are alright if you get a good kit, my first kit wasn't eve close to fitting, but my second one fit great on the passenger side and took some modifying on the drivers side. The steel is very hard so it is hard to drill or cut it.
VDI is by far the best kit to by, but also the most expensive. LDI is a very nice kit and also fit very nicely. If you would like a set let me know and I can get you a good price sine you are from the JBO.
Lambo Doors
don't you have to roll the fenders to get them to work
mms kit is good from what ive experienced so far. ive had mine since spring 05 and havnt had problems except the 1 shock going out. but thats gonna happen with every kit. you might get good shocks .. and you might get bad shocks. unavoidable. but kit wise. i have mine on a daily driver and dont have problems getting in and out. in my opinion, its the best kit for the price.

I NEED a 97-99 LD9 engine harness for an auto.PM if u hav info.!!

No there shouldnt be a problem. I have a 2000 Cavalier convertible and they work fine. There isnt too much that is different from the vert to the coupe. The only thing I have had major problems with so far are mirrors.
i have an MMS kit for sale just hinges no shocks, i just bought it from eazy 716. i paid 200, just looking to get my money back. found out my hinge that broke was fixable so i didnt need them
the only thing im worried about is where the window goes into the top getting hung up and noyt opening right then having wasted a grand or so of money that could have been spent on other mods
Shane: The kits open out a little like it would factory and then goes up, doesn't catch by the window. Trust me, you'll be fine.
thanks, i get what it does now, i thought it just went up and out at an angle like on a lambo. i am gonna get one of these kits than
