as stated i'm looking for pics of a cavi w/ type j rear and a shaved trunk lid. also where are u guys w/ shaved lids mounting ur back up lights? thanks for the help guys
most people dont remount any type of backup light.

i thought that puttin a white led strip between the trunk lid and the bumper would look cool and still kinda b hidden. just like doin it with the led brakelight strips on trucks with it between the tailgate and bumper!
I think it has to be a DOT approved setup. If not, then just get a white undercar cathode
Like stated above most people with shaved trunks, like myself, don't have any reverse lights at all. Most people just go out and buy an extra trunk just for when it comes to inspections and just hope for the best. I've never been pulled over for having no reverse lights, as most cops don't really pick it up that they've been removed. But if you have a spoiler, then you could always get a clear cover and wire your brake light to work as your reverse lights. Just an idea.

Theres a lot of ppl around here w/ shaved lids and no reverse lights i wouldnt worry about it man

Actually what I did for mine is bought a set of those cheap ass side lights from advanced, and jerry(jury?) rigged them on my rear dash and wired them to my reverse wires.
They are clear assemblies, all I did was swap the yellow bulb out for a clear one.
I squeezed them next to the 3rd brake light. you really can't see them unless you look for them.
And they still are visible when you reverse.

I put fog lamps under my bumper when I was tryin to put my new rear bumper on. It worked, but the bumper ended up not fitting at all and I ended up modifying my stock bumper, so I don't have pictures.
