What will i have to do to paint my black door handles white? I want my car to look a little smoother, and the random black kinda throws it off. There that plastic like material.
primer, paint, bunch of newspapers (if ur gonna leave them on the car), masking tape, beer

You forgot the sanding part...
And if you don't know what you're doing... don't use any rougher of a grit than 600
Just did mine last night...came out mint!

How do you take the door handles OFF the car to paint them? Would this be easier? or make it harder?
I've painted lots before, so I'm not worried about overspray/runs/prep/etc but just wondering how difficult the handles are to take off the car?

I may be wrong but I think the door handles are riveted on and would be mush easier to just paint them on the car.
Thats what I did with my old 00 Z.
Just have it done on the car

Seems like swapping handles would be an require an exorbitant amount of time and effort. Though I suppose I am not familiar with what that particular process involves.
Screw it, just shave 'em.

I painted my door handles myself with a rattle can. Turned out great and no paint has chipped off the handles in three years! This includes pressure washing and driving in winter.
