My z24 body kit has been losing clips since i got it does any one have a trick to keeping them in. i have already replaced 8 clips and now the the rear is missing 3 and the front 4. i did modifie some plastic push pins to work but i like whan its flush? so is my only option bolting it? thanks
I haven't lost any clips on mine. I have seen plastic shims used on another bumper.

i was thinking of using rivits but i don't want to rip it and figuring a way to get a rivit tool in their gives me a headache.
There's a metal clip and a plastic retainer shim, which actually keeps the metal clip from falling out. If you don't put the plastic retainer in, you may as well just throw the metal clips down the drain, because they'll keep falling out.
Both parts of the retainer are available from GM... but they ain't cheap.
F*&% i have only seen the metal ones i don't have any pf the plastics. So if the dealership new of the problem before your warrenty was up and fixed it but diddn't put in the plastic retainers could i go back and have them replaced?
Not likely. You could try, but I know how dealers try to get out of doing that kind of stuff after the fact.
They're $5 a piece up here in Canada.... f'n rip off.
