I have an invader hood on my car and the vent in the front allows tons of moisture to enter the motor bay and cover the front of my eco, isnt that bad for things like the alt?
Not really. Moisture gets in anyways especially after a rain. It can come up through the bottom and get on everything fairly easy. The heat from the engine keeps most the light moisture dried up anyway.

You can always fab up some kind of adapter plate to cover up the hole during inclement weather.
on my 04 with eco and invader the water doesn't drain onto anythign... it falls right down in bwteeen the motor and radiator... alittle bit slapshes on the front of the intake manifold but you'll be fine, the alternator is out of the way
cool deal, the watter gets on my aem an intake many a bit but thats all
how many hoods r u gonna go through
well this one actually fits good, its not paper thin, does not look like its gonna blow off the car if i do more than 55. id say im keeping this one. that and this one actually cost me a good amount of money
If you do'nt mind my asking..
What type of ood is that? and where did it come from?
I'm in the market for a OEM stlye Carbon hood and it would be nice if it did not suck. And I really don't want hood pins.
If you put on a Carbon Fiber (or most fiberglass even) hood USE HOOD PINS... No matter how well its made, or what mounting plates it has, its always better to error on the side of safety. And not all hood pins are the bright flashy chrome Sparco style, there are other options as well.
My Car Domain
there are ton's of cars on here with aftermarket hood's and no pins.
(in fact there is one right there)^^^
My bro has had his hood for like 3 years of highway commuting, no issues what so ever..
