there are allot of things i have to ask first
is the sheet metal OEM
is it afterbirth metal
was the car ever hit

ok so here is my take on lining up metal, metal can be moved to where you want it to go, so..........loosen up the botls inside the fender at the bottom and top and make sure it lines up to match the door

if it still has a problem fitting flush with the door I use spoon dollies to make it fit
the door flush , i have always made the holes bigger using a step drill bit

if the car was hit the frmae rails or the core support are still stuffed down and it would need to be pulled

so i say keep going at the metal

can i haz bondo

as long as the door dont scrap the fenders i dont see to much of a problem.but then again im not a body man...

Like on my car, when you open the door it catches on the drivers fender....and its never been wrecked...Who knows
