i want to get the GT bumber for my SE and i was wonder other then the bumber what would i need. i want to get the stock fog lights but i was told if the wires are not there already it would work. also the fender wells do i got to change them?
Fender wells are the same.
All you are really going to need is the bumper cover, turn lenses, and side marker lenses (if the one you are getting don't come with em already)
As for the fogs, you can wire in your own setup...
clicky
You can use either the low beam headlight power or parking light power for the trigger wire (in place of the fusebox) so that the fogs will either come on with the parking lights or headlights... the only drawback that I have found is that I have yet to figure out how to get them to shut off with the high beams... maybe a DPDT relay?
k thanks for all the info this is going to be my next project. i want to get the 2000 -2002 GT bumber so i was going to just use my side markers and turning lights from the stock bumber and put them on the GT one
No prob... actually, just noticed in your profile that you have aftermarket fogs already wired in, so all you would need to do is just re-route the wires to the GT fogs, easy as cake.
i didnt no i could use the wires from the fogs i got on there now for the GT owns. that would work out good. yea i need to update my profile i got alot more done to my car then a intake now lol.
I know the 2000+ GT bumper is nicer in the fact that it has the fogs integrated in, but honestly I like the styling of the 95-99 bumper a LOT better. I was actually going to use one on my car before I went with the Street Fire.
PS: I have the original RK Sport fiberglass bumper in my basement if you'd want it. It's actually VERY similar to the GT style, sits at stock height and everything.
whats is look like do you have a pic you can send to me?
Actually the fender liners are different. The GT's are longer (closer to the ground). I guess in order to explain it right. they go about 2 inches lower b/c the GT bumper is lower to the ground then the SE. I know b/c I went from 00GT to 00SE bumper and my inners hang lower then the SE bumper on the wheel wells. Lucky my front valance hides it but I will be replacing them with the proper finder liners soon.

J
do you still have your GT bumber^^^^
Nope sold it a year or so ago. Sorry.
that sucks. im going to order mine from the chevy dealer i bought my car from. they said 210 and then i would have to get it painted.
i checked the car parts. com and i got nothing around me. and i called some junkyard and they have nothing eather.
That RK picture that was posted is the bumper I have in my basement
I like the RK Sport one, but I think the stock GT one looks better.
i like the RK sport one but i like the gt one a little better bc its got the place for the fog lights and the front plate is in the bumber and not hanging off the front of it like it is on the SE bumber.
As mentioned, the fender liners are different but you can probably get away without replacing them.
You'll definitely want the absorber though. It's the plastic "crush panel" behind the bumper that provides the shape and support.
what is difforent from the SE bumber absorber they arent the same?
i went there is its $249.50 i really like the look of the GT bumber i saw a 2000 GT that was silver the other day drive by me and it looked so good.
