Vinal Question? (Chevy Bowtie)

I was just wondering if I could buy a small sheet of vinal from like autozone. I want to cover my front and rear Chevy Bowties in a Silver vinal. Just wondering if anybody has done this or has done it a different way?

You would probably get a better end result if you took it off and painted it, but you could always use vynil if you don't have the time.
