Shaving help
Thursday, February 16, 2006 2:47 PM
I am looking to get my car all cleaned up since winter is almost over and was wondering what kind of stuff I should do to the exterior or interior anyone can help. But the real thing is, I have the 96 z24 cavi and was wondering what does it take to shave the emblems off of it I know what I have to do for the handles and are not ready to tackle that yet but the emblems maybe. I will put some pics on soon of how my car is looking thanks to anyone that can help

I just took a hairdrier and heated up the 3M double stick tape they used to put them on. Then after you are done, take Goo gone (some people say lighter fluid) and remove the rest of the glue. After you are done with that, wash and wax your car, and you wont be able to tell that your emblems were there

yep thats for all of them, it will also work for your door moldings if you want to shave them too.

Its for all. And as for washing the cavalier. I wet down the car first, then wash it with soap, then rinse the car off again, and hurry my ass up and dry the damn thing. I pull it into the garage, or the shade, and I use Mothers wax (the kind that has the ford T-bird) on it) I apply it with a terry cloth, let it sit for an hour or two, and then begin to wipe it off. It looks pretty sweet, a mirror image or everything.

Ohh yeah, and for the windows, I use vinnagar and water, just a 1:1 ratio, no streaks no nothing. Hope everything goes well for you
