I know there have been been a few people here that have voiced interest in the past in terms of wanting tinted tails
i have about a gallon of product left with the shelf life just about up. I am running have sold tails to people at dodgetalk.com and focusfanatics.com
i am currently asking 25 dollars plus shipping, which usually ends up to be around 35 dollars. i use only quality materials from PPG and wet sand throughout the entire process. if you are interested, let me know, i will have pictures loaded shortly.

What actually is the $35 for? You send us the material to do it or we send you our tails to get tinted?
I may be interested. I have a set of '95 stock tails that I was going to tint myself. That is the reason I ask. Can you tint the entire light including the reverse clear area, legally? If so that is what I want.
yes, u send me the lights, and i do it for you,
here is the process i use:
-wet sanding the lenses down before dipping
-dipping (up to 4 coats)
-wet sanding the coating down
-2 layers of PPG clear
-wet sanding and hand polishing lenses
usually i charge 35 plus shipping both ways. but since the gallon i have has a shelf life about up, i am running a special on it.

I'd like to do this, but I don't have a spare set of tails. And since I only have one car, that kinda puts me out.

or you can go to ebay, search spray tint and do it yourself for $13
Im trying to think of how this would look.. lemme sleep on it.. I may have you do this for me in a few days.. any more examples? besides a minivan ? maybe on something kitted ?
.
.
haha, tha'ts not a minivan, that's my durango. ouch, insult.
i can also pick up tails from a junkyard, but they are much more expensive. other option people have done is to buy the tails off ebay and have them sent directly to me.

stolen, i can also go with one dip, which gives a ruby color and is about equivelant to what you would find on the newer grand am tails.
and yes you could go and buy a 13 dollar can of nite shades, and in three months have it peel off, or you can go with something quality for the price it costs me, i'm not making anything on this, just trying to get rid of the product before i have to throw it away.
that's not meant to be mean, just stating the facts.

Thanks buddy, but I have an '02. Using my money for other things right now, but if you ever do this again in the future, let me know.

Sorry.. I knew it was a durango.. its late...
Do you have any other examples ?
.
.
ummm, i do, but they are all on dodgetalk and you have to be a member to get on there.
i haven't had my camera for a while so i dont have any new pictures. let me do a little looking.
<img src="http://registry.gmenthusiast.com/images/cbrenn71/personal_pic.jpg">
thats cool.. and is there a way to where its not QUITE so dark... idk.. Ill just let you look for a few and let me know kinda what it would look like.. and we can go from there if I like the way it looks

this is an example of someone using night shades, not my work. you can see how it is dull. mine do not look like this at all. if you choose to go with nite shades, this is what you will come up with.

here is another picture of one i did, this is after one dip and while it's drying.
more of a ruby color. you can see how much of a shine there is compared to using night shades.

Chad I think that I'm definately interested in this. Shoot me an email and we can discuss further. I have an old APC box that I can fit the stock tails in. I just need to know where to ship them. And some other questions. stpolo99@hotmail.com
Thanks.
I don't know why you have so much hate for the nite shades, mine tunred out fine and it is not dull.
It is easy to do yourself guys if you got some time.
Its all in the application, don't let this guy tell you that nite shades is junk, I have seen a lot of bad jobs using nite shades and good jobs using nite shades. I did a light coat of VHT on my focus and polished the tails afterwards, its a very light coating which is what I was after, just enough to not make them look so cartoony red, I get compliments on them and how nice they look.
i'm not bashing nite shades, just saying that you can get a lot better results using what i do. if you would like to use nite shades, that's fine, i've seen a lot of cars use it and i've seen a few that turned out nice.
