My question is simple.. does anyone know if the foglights on a Z24(95-99, or 00-02) are wired into the headlight harness connector under teh battery tray? Or are they wired by themselves and just tapped into a relay for teh brights? I am doing a 00 swap and were switching harnesses.. but i dont wanna switch fogs..
anyone? Kinda like to know for my headlight swap.. Also if they are wired in.. does anyone have a pic of their 00 stock fogs and how there mounted and what to?
on my 03 i just wired them in parallel and grounded one end and pluged the other into a keyswitched fuse. some day ill add a toggle but for now it works
well im talking about stock wiring.. since they came on stock i was curious to how GM had tied them in..
they are wired in with the head light harness
and when the high beams turn on they turn off
If the car didn't come withthem then the harness in your car won't have the wireing needed for them. The harnesses are different between a car with them and a car without them.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Damn, my came stock.. so when me and jeff swap harnesses were gonna have to swap foglights also? O well..
Can't you just rewire the fogs into the low beams? Or even into the headlight fuse, when ever there's power going to the lights, the fogs come on. That would probably be what I would do.
ok, WRONG
the stock headlight harness doesn't have the wiring for stock foglights, but all you need to do is plug in the stock zed foglight switch, swap in the headlight harness 95 only, 96-97 only, 98-99 only, 00+ i have no clue, and voila, stock foglights, almost plug and play
