new foglight housings...

I pulled my foglight housings tonight after noticing that the light output was sucking lately and found that the 893 bulbs had melted the inner part of the housings... my question is, are there any aftermarket fogs that match the 02 ls sport fog openings or should i just try to pick up another set of factory housings?

I've seen a set that comes pretty close. I think they are made by Hella, but I'm not sure. I'd take some measurements, and go into an auto parts store that carries most big name lighting, and look through the specs in the catalog.
I know Pilot makes a projector set that is very close to your opening as well. You can probably make it match nicely.

Yeah stock 2k+ fog lights are junk when used, mine always have moisture in them and the majority of the reflective chrome inside is flaking off.

i have found a set of hella's that come close (model ff50) they are slightly larger though and i'm not 100% sure they'll fit.

guess i'm heading to the autoparts store tomorrow afternoon.

judging by the bumper, it think it'd be a really tight fit for the ff50's... i dunno though. i ended up picking up a set of apc fogs (i know... can't spell crap without apc) and they fit and work fairly well.

there is a set of pilots that are the same size as the apc's that i picked up (model 1010 i believe) but the autoparts store wanted $70 for them...

so which model fit in there the best?

I realized my foglights = crap.

i retrofitted them to the stock brackets because there really isn't a way to mount them to the stock bumper (the bottom and top of the openings are rounded)... that's all the farther they sit back in the bumper. it really doesn't look that bad. i'm probably going to paint the chrome part on the housings black so it doesn't stick out quite as much though.

Did u just buy an adapter and connect it to the existing stock one and then wire the fogs???

I am very curious as to how you wire the fogs, cause I have moisture in my fogs also and thinking about switching to aftermarket ones.........please give me a step to step process, thanks.
