i have a 97 sunfire GT with that teal-like color and i want to debadge the thing, being that they've been on there nearly 10 years, i just want someone to share a little saying if they had very noticable fade after buffing and waxing under there on a car this old.
yes i searched but nobody was posting about how old their car was when removing badges.
it might be a little different but nothing horribly noticeable. i have a 97 and i removed everything and u could never tell anything was there
did you use any wax? buff? if you did wax, throw out a brand name cause i have never waxed a car before.
i took mine off an always outside 96 cav and no fading at all. shouldnt have a problem
well i went ahead and did it and i didn't have any fading. kinda a useless post but i was bored and it was raining and christmas eve, so there wasn't much of anything for me to go out and do!
unfortunatly >...................... when i took off the passenger side badge, i found evidence of an idiot being present in a parking lot somewhere( good sized impression that wasn't noticable before.) but i EVENTUALLY plan on getting the car painted so im not that depressed.
I have a 95 red sunfire, and when I took my badges off you could barely notice. Now, about the moldings on the side, that might be a different story since they're so big. But you should be ok on the badges..
