3m double sided side molding tape...you can get it from any pep boys auto zone checkers or auto parts store
where the molding was, is it darker or lighter? if its darker the cars paint is faded and whats underneath is the original color.
maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....... but some day
Make sure to get the gray color tape. not the white one. White one sucks big time. Gray one is like OEM stuff. Good luck.
if your sayin the claer came off ??? then it was a repaint factroy clear should never come off with a thumb rubbin on it
ya clean off the old tape and reapply new tape to the moulding

yes
or... if the reason being you took them off to begin with is because you wanted them off... you'll just have to get it repainted. Covering up the problem won't solve it... but I can understand wanting to put them back on.
How old is your car? I took my moldings off on my 05 and the clearcoat was perfect. When my mom wanted her's off on her 2000, the clearcoat was brighter then the rest of the car, LOL, so I couldn't do it.
Moral of the story, the clearcoat takes a beating from the weather and sun and what not.
what happened to johnny happened to me.
its because there was an optional clearcoat put over the car after it was purchased. GM calls it the protective coat, which consists of an extra coat of clear, some scotch gaurd in the interior, and an undercoating.
i removed my mouldings at one time and it wasnt smooth at all, like i was hoping it too be. i had to go and get it taken care of by a body shop and they did a pretty @!#$ty job trying to make it smooth again, there were a lot of swirl marks): its fixed now, and i dont have side mouldings.
so it is possible to not have side moldings...you will have to have a body shop make it smooth tho.
