if you have a trunk release inside ur car then yea. just swap over the latch when you put the new lid on and it will work
I guess my question is...how would I open it with a shaved lock? will I have to get a kit or something?
You need a trunk popper. Some cars have em, some dont...its an option...you can always buy an Autoloc kit...
My question is why buy a Fiberglass shaved trunk when you can take it to a body shop and shave your stock one...just my thought though.

find someone who knows how to use a mig welder and have them weld up some 22gauge sheet metal. Grind down the welds, use some good reinforced filler, sand and paint. Mine cost about 50bux in materials and still has the oem fit and more durability than a fiberglass trunk lid.
I just shaved the lock on my sunfire. Sorta the same way, but you have to glass in the bezel, and I used a solenoid kit since my car never came with a trunk release.
