I bought a used LS Sport body kit for my wife's Cav, and there's no way in Hell I'm giving GM 500-600 bucks that they want for the harness, switch, etc.
Until I can find the parts in a junkyard, etc I want to hook them directly to the headlights.
I've got two wires coming from each foglight, one is black and one is purple. Assuming the black is Ground (obviously) which wire in the headlight bundle should I hook the purples into? Looks like they just made a clean cut of each wire - everything seems to be in great condition.
Also, will this cause any trouble or is it safe to do this?
Thanks! There will be a special prize to the first person who posts the correct way to do this (prize to be awarded when I see the light actually coming from the fogs)

Alright.........
Get a relay. Then......
86 - Headlight wire (assuming it gives negative when on, which
if the memory serves right is correct)
85 - Battery (fused)
30 - Battery (fused)
87 - Fog Lamps, purple wire
Just double check if the headlight gets a negative when on, otherwise its all wrong

OK, thanks for replying but now I am completely confused
I am somewhat experienced in wiring LEDs and stuff, but I am not familiar with relays...
Seems like something I could do if I had one in my hands - where do I get one?
Do I HAVE to run 2 wires directly to my battery terminal? I've already got a ton of wire loom in there
...
What do I do with the Black wires coming from the fogs (ground 'em?) Or is that considered the "headlight wire"?
Oh man, I thought I knew what I was doing...
