OK, you guys told me to grab some bigger rims so I went from 15" Konig Verdicts to the 18" version. Just got back from Indianapolis to pick them up - Thanks to ZCruiser for giving me a great price on the brand-new wheels and tires!
Please do NOT bring up my decals, or whether you like the brands of stuff I use - that conversation has been done to death...and the decals are stayin'
BEFORE:
(stainless Magnaflow dual exhaust and new "Blue Cav" plates added since then...)
AFTER:
My wife's yellow 03 seen here is my newest project! I put the 15" Konigs on hers and also picked up an LS Sport body kit while I was in Indy (thanks to Blas Garay for another great deal and for buying me dinner while I was in town!) I'm gonna do hers in a Yellow/Black/Chrome scheme with CF enhancements.
I'm going to pimp hers out with the same CF scheme as mine and eventually get it to the level mine's at. We plan to show them as a "set" whenever we can.
I gotta tell you guys - and I'm not trying to toot my own horn - but I really feel like my Cav is getting seriously overlooked around here. C'mon - hook the man up with some much-deserved props! I've more than done my time in the customization department and spent more than my share of money -
Yeah, I'm an attention whore (but ain't we all?)

lol it looks soooo much better than those little tiny rims. you need to lower it now
really looking alot better, good luck on the new project
Thanks guys - dude, I CANT lower it - my body kit will scrape right off the car!
I'm going to do the air ride later this year if I can afford it. That's really my only option left.
If I lowered it even 1 inch, I would not be able to get in my driveway any more...
Yeah I am looking forward to modding my wife's car. I knew as soon as I got her some rims and a body kit, she'd start seeing things my way! I've run out of affordable stuff to do to mine...
By the way, should I do my drums/calipers in Blue, Silver or what?
looking good but you need BIGGER rims
Yeah right - you want me to drive on metal? This aint no SUV.
The wheels look awesome! Whats with all the stickers?
(kidding) Also I say fix
that driveway and drop that poor car! good god man just look at all that fender gap!
I have a question for you off topic. How do you like the RK body kit you have I've been concidering getting the same one for my car but it would be nice to here your first hand account of how it is. Any install probs.?
And the car look great.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Thanks Jackalope.
I had a body shop install the kit so I can't help you with install advice. But I will say that I have had no trouble with it other than scraping all the time until I learned where I could and could not go. It's also a little bit of a hassle to jack up the car. I would not go far without a floor jack because the stock jack ain't gonna help ya! No problem getting it on a lift, though.
It's a reasonably priced kit - seems to be tough enough. It uses the original OEM mounting points for an easy install.
Hope this helps with your decision.
Yeah fender gap sucks - no props to the GM design team...
I'm gonna start a new rule that if someone says they don't like my gap, they have to send me a donation for my air ride kit! I wanted to do disk brakes all the way around , but air ride has become my next major mod - expensive!
Steve
IMO it would look better if you took the kit off and lowered it than leaving the kit on and not lowering it.
looks much better with the bigger rims, now drop that b*tch and park in the street
LMAO O.k. guys cough up the money you heard the man.
Thanks for the info. still undecided as to which way I want to go I also love the Summit kit from Andy's but its pricey.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
nice!!

Words that you can't use in modding: Finished, Perfect, Cheap.
I don't think the front gap is all that bad, but the rear is a bit large.
With all those stickers you are prolly at about 450 HP now right?
j/k
I like the total look, now drop the back at least to level the car.
Its a nice Lip kit but the only thing I don't like about it is the rear lip with the openings for dual exhaust. If there was one with just the single little cut-out then I would get it but oh well...
Much better!!
Your old wheels is so cute!

your car looks great man, i love everything about your car (except the blue bezel on the back looks weird IMO). the stickers aren't obtrusive, the wheels are nice, the kit is nice ... you've done a really good job on keeping that car look nice and clean.
a little off topic, could I get a picture of the back of your car? I'm interested in either getting the LS front/rear valances, or going with the RKSport kit that you have. The only thing holding me back from getting the RKSport one, is that it's got cut outs for dual exhaust, as mentioned earlier, I have single exhaust too...
(BTW: do you have a hookup for the LS skirts?? I can't find them ANYWHERE besides the dealership
)
Thanks
The 18's are soooo much better!!!
Alex,
That pic is older - I now have dual Magnaflows in the back with stainless Camaro-style tips (the flat rectangles)
Mattress,
Go to www.car-parts.com
An awesome source for that kind of thing. And you can even find them in your color if you get lucky.
Steve

I like the kit and the rims. The ride height doesn't look bad. Lowering probably has trade-offs. I bet the ride would suffer.
Those tires you were running with the 15 inchers look like they have a much lower sidewall than stock 15's. Really made them look tiny.
I can't believe you haven't painted the mirrors or handles. Not a big fan of the body-colored light bar either. I guess eventually you will do the 2002 tails thing.
