that's the 123 of it... but you're missing steps between them. if you want just a paint job, then that's all you gotta do. if you want a good paint job, you have to wetsand and whatnot. there's more to it than just spraying.

not to mention that depending on what you're spraying will depend on the best technique to use...

ok if ya give more info on what paint system you are using then you will get more help
ppg`s dbc system ratios
primer ncp 271 3:1
sealer ncs 2004 or 2005 3:1:1/2 reducer
base coat 1:1 if you use dx 57 ratio is this 1:1 to 5% dx 57
clear 2021 or 2042
4:1:1 flexed clear using dx81 4:1:2:2
and dbc uses one reducer dt reducer
dupont i don`t know never used it and i forgot spies hecker ratios
i would have to agree almost sounds like ya clueless about painting so why don`t ya let the pro`s do it for ya
it`s not just applying paint there is a technique to it ya need to know air pressure fan patteren material , all kind of stuff
ya can`t pick up painting over the internet either, so leave it to the pro`s

can i haz bondo

Well said. I've been agreeing with you more lately... scary... (j/p, it's actually a good thing)

Anyway... it does sound like you haven't a clue as to what you're doing, and you can't learn over the internet. I don't want to discourage you from learning, however... you should seriously consider taking some classes or go around to shops and ask them if they might teach you some stuff. If you don't know that primer goes on before base, and clear after base... definately take some classes or something. Check your local Vo-Tech school for some basic info.

Like big daddy said... there's a TON more that goes into painting then just filling up the cup and spraying it on... it's a lot more involved and does take some skill and a high attention to detail.
